POCO X3 Pro Review: Better Than Top Model

Devices are limited in terms of power, at the software (OS) level. Once you root your device, you can do whatever you intended to or want to do with your Android System Settings. From the links below, download either the Fastboot or Recovery firmware and follow the recommended flashing instructions afterwards.

Things are interesting with the Poco X3 Pro performance levels, and it’s more or less all good news. The weird thing here is that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 is effectively just a rebranded Snapdragon 855+. In performance terms, it’s not quite at the same level as last year’s high-end flagships, but it’s still very capable. The design and software might not be for everyone, but if they appeal to you, you are looking at the perfect phone you can buy right now. It should be a no-brainer if you are looking for a new phone in this price category.

The 20MP shooter at the front captures good pictures, which looks a bit on the softer side but gets the job done. Selfies from this one can easily fetch you few social media likes or maybe some hearts (at least more than what I get). To keep the price under control, Poco has opted for a dual-tone plastic back on Poco X3 Pro, where the glossy part in the middle easily picks up fingerprints.

  • There’s been heaps of chat about 5G over the last few years.
  • The catch in the story is a smartphone with high processing power yet lacks of other specs such as camera quality and screen.
  • It’s perfectly responsive in day-to-day use, and it makes for a much better solution than a less reliable in-display fingerprint reader.
  • Xiaomi POCO X3 NFC (surya) Global official ROM, include stable, weekly and beta MIUI firmware which can be updated with Recovery and Fastboot (need mi flash tool).

That, it seems, is much the point of using the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor – there’s no X50/X55 series modem attached within the platform, thus no 5G. But 4G/LTE connectivity is perfectly good enough and, without the concern over elevated costs or battery consumption, we think it’ll be lapped up by many consumers. These are the primary reasons why you should get the Poco X3 Pro. I didn’t emphasize camera and gaming because you can already get an idea regarding these aspects of the phone on Reddit and YouTube. Do let me know if you want me to review the phone after a while or you’re OK with the reviews you have already read or watched. • Mind you, only the X3 Pro comes with a microSD card slot for internal memory expansion and 3.5mm headphone jack; the Poco X3 GT lacks it.
  • The official Pie update of this ROM has been rolled out for many devices.
  • The phone is available in Frost Blue, Phantom Black, and Metal Bronze color stock firmware options.
  • Overseas, in other markets, this shouldn’t be a problem based on my experience with the Redmi Note 9T.

The SoC is supported by the Adreno 640 graphics chip and up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The main camera records videos at up to 4K and 30 frames per second, and it’s supported by electronic image stabilization. The Dual Mode is a nice extra, where the front and rear cameras record simultaneously, and both views are combined into one video. However, the Poco X3 Pro has a slight advantage with its more power-efficient chipset and faster charging speed. The Poco M4 Pro 5G, on the other hand, offers good value for its price and is a great option for those who don’t need a high refresh rate and want to save some money. However, a higher refresh rate can also put more strain on the phone’s battery life. Affordable Price – The Poco X3 Pro offers excellent value for money, as it provides high-end features at a mid-range price point.
